    2. The petitioner has preferred this application for

    grant of regular bail in connection with Khaira P.S. Case no. 518

    of 2018 registered under sections 307, 147, 148, 149, 353,

    120(B), 121, 121(A) and 122 of the Indian Penal Code, sections

    25(1-A)(b), 26, 27 and 35 of Arms Act and sections 16, 17, 18,

    19, 20, 21 and 22 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967.

    3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states

    that information having been received about the presence of

    maoists/naxals in the area, a raid was conducted by the police

    personnel. It is stated that at about 4 pm indiscriminate firing

    started by 7-8 naxals. They were given continuous warning to

    surrender, however the firing continued. Firing in response, was

    carried out by the police personnel in which 2-3 naxals got

    injured while others managed to escape. One of them died.

    Various arms and ammunitions, details of which has been given

    in the FIR, was recovered. The informant further states that nine

    named accused persons including the petitioner herein along

    with 8 – 10 unknown accused were involved in giving effect to

    the occurrence.
