About the Organiser
The Constitutional Law Society (CLS) of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) is an academic society founded in 2012. It aims to enhance understanding of constitutional law by fostering academic discussions and creating a supportive environment for constitutional matters. CLS has hosted several events including quizzes, mock parliaments, and talks by eminent scholars such as K.K. Venugopal, Upendra Baxi, and Catherine MacKinnon.
NUJS, established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999, is a premier national law school in India offering integrated undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees. The Chief Justice of India serves as its Chancellor and Chairman of the General Council.
About the Call
The CLS at NUJS invites submissions for its blog. Contributions may include opinion pieces on contemporary developments in constitutional law or its intersections with other disciplines, as well as informative posts reviewing upcoming petitions and developments in constitutional law.
Categories and Submission Guidelines
- Articles & Discussions: 1500-2000 words, must use embedded hyperlinks for referencing within the text.
- Court Watch: Maximum 1000 words, must use embedded hyperlinks for referencing within the text.
Formatting Requirements
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
The preferred referencing method is embedded hyperlinks. Footnotes are reserved solely for cases where hyperlinking is impracticable or insufficient, and these should follow the NUJS Law Review citation standard.
Submissions must be original, not previously published, nor under consideration elsewhere. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis through the designated submission form. All submissions will be reviewed for quality of arguments, structure, and citations before publication.
