About the Conference

The CLTI, School of Law, Bennett University, in collaboration with the ILI, New Delhi; the CASCA, RGNUL Punjab; and MNLU, Mumbai, is organizing the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Legal Governance, and Sustainable Development: Constitutional, Regulatory and Sectoral Perspectives.

As artificial intelligence (Al) continues to transform governance, economies, and social interactions, it has become one of the defining forces of contemporary society. While Al offers immense opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and growth, it also raises significant concerns relating to privacy, accountability, bias, transparency, and human rights.

The Conference on “Artificial Intelligence, Legal Governance, and Sustainable Development: Constitutional, Regulatory and Sectoral Perspectives” seeks to provide a platform for meaningful engagement with these emerging challenges and opportunities.

It aims to examine how legal systems can respond to technological disruption while safeguarding constitutional values and democratic principles. Organised on the occasion of the 10th year celebration of our Law School, the
conference reflects a decade-long commitment to academic excellence and socially relevant legal discourse.

It also aligns with the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat, where innovation and development must progress together. The conference intends to bring together academicians, scholars, legal professionals, policymakers, researchers, industry experts, and students for interdisciplinary dialogue on the future of Al governance.

Discussions will focus on themes such as algorithmic accountability, data protection, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, competition law, intellectual property, and liability frameworks. The researchers will give particular attention to the constitutional dimensions of AI, including equality, freedom of expression, and due process.

The conference will also explore sectoral implications of Al in areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture, labour, finance, and criminal justice administration.

By encouraging diverse perspectives, the event seeks to identify both the promises and risks associated with rapid technological adoption. It aims to foster balanced approaches that support innovation while ensuring fairness, inclusion, and regulatory certainty.

Publication Opportunity

After the conference, the editorial board will curate some selected papers for publication in JANUS.NET (Scopus Indexed Journal). We do not claim any publication charges.

Eligibility

The conference invites participation from academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policy makers, industry experts, and professionals working in the domains of law, technology, governance, and allied disciplines.

Submissions are also welcome from doctoral candidates, postgraduate, and undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in the themes of the conference.

Submission Guidelines

• Authors are required to initially submit an abstract of 200–250 words, clearly outlining the purpose, research methodology, objectives, and key findings. The abstract must include five keywords.
• Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors must submit the full paper.
• All submitted abstracts will be subject to an initial screening by the organising committee for relevance to the conference theme and basic academic quality.
• Full papers, upon submission, will undergo a peer review process in accordance with the standards and requirements of the publishing journal.
• Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, thematic relevance, conceptual clarity, methodological rigour, and contribution to existing scholarship.
• The full paper must include the following details for all authors:
  • Name
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Designation
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • ORCID ID
• The similarity index must be below 10% (as assessed through Turnitin), and the submission should be free from unacknowledged AI-generated content.
