1. The present petition assails two interconnected orders concerning the
Petitioner’s continuance as Director (Operations), Air India Limited. By the
first, dated 13th November, 2018, issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation,
the Petitioner was relieved from the charge of that office with immediate
effect. By the second, dated 11th December, 2018, the Appointments
Committee of the Cabinet approved his removal from the said post with
effect from 13th November, 2018. The Petitioner accordingly seeks quashing
of both orders, together with all consequential service benefits.
