About National Legal Rights Consortium
The National Legal Rights Consortium is a part of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), which is a premier National Business Chamber for Women envisioning Global Impact for Women Entrepreneurs, Businesswomen, and Professionals from all walks of life.

About the Membership Opportunity
The Uttar Pradesh Legal Rights Consortium, under the aegis of NLRC–WICCI, invites online applications for membership to the State Legal Rights Consortium for the term 2026–27.
The membership is open to female law students across India who are driven to promote and protect legal rights in society. Each State Legal Rights Consortium shall comprise a minimum of 20 Consortium Members, along with a Vice President and a President, who will collectively work towards achieving the following objectives:
- Advocating for Legal Rights – The Consortium is dedicated to undertaking reform- oriented initiatives and advocating passionately for the protection and advancement of rights at the state level.
- Raising Awareness – As part of its mission, the Consortium prioritises educating the public about their legal rights and empowering them to effectively exercise those rights.
- Providing Legal Assistance and Support – Through a strong network of advocates, the Consortium facilitates access to justice by offering legal aid and resources to individuals who are unable to afford legal services, including through pro bono initiatives.
- Engaging with Legislators – The Consortium actively collaborates with lawmakers and government agencies to influence the formulation and amendment of laws in alignment with principles of justice and rights protection.
- Monitoring and Reporting – The Consortium diligently monitors the legal landscape for violations of rights and promptly reports instances of abuse or injustice that come to its attention.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh or currently studying at an institution located in Uttar Pradesh.
- Must be a law student enrolled in a university/college recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- Prior internship experience with legal firms, organisations, or advocates is preferred.
- Experience in social media management, public relations, or content creation is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Canva is mandatory (ability to design professional-quality posts, reels, and campaign creatives).
- Basic knowledge of other design tools (Adobe, etc.) is an added advantage.
- This opportunity is open to women candidates only.
Role as a Member & Responsibilities
As a Member of the Consortium, you will work closely with the President, Vice President, and fellow Members to develop a unified strategic vision and a multi-year roadmap aligned with the organisation’s mission, values, and objectives. You will contribute your ideas, insights, and expertise to shape the Consortium’s direction, ensuring that all initiatives are impactful, well-structured, and aligned with its broader mandate.
You will actively collaborate with other Members to build a highly engaged and solutions-oriented leadership team. This includes fostering open communication, encouraging constructive discussions on key issues, clearly defining roles, and maintaining a cohesive and unified approach while representing the Consortium in all
engagements.
A key aspect of your role will involve leading community education and outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about legal rights, promoting best practices, and empowering individuals. Through these efforts, you will contribute to knowledge dissemination, skill development, and inspiring individuals towards personal growth and collective progress within society.
You will also be responsible for contributing to the development of policy recommendations, proposals, and innovative ideas addressing significant social and economic issues. This includes engaging with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and relevant institutions to advocate for the implementation of meaningful reforms and Consortium-driven initiatives.
In addition, you will manage and strengthen the Consortium’s digital presence by effectively handling social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement, and creating impactful, well-researched legal content. You are expected to be responsive, responsible, and proactive in all communications and tasks, while demonstrating a strong interest in law and social issues and bringing creative ideas to expand the organisation’s reach and impact.
A crucial responsibility includes designing high-quality, engaging, and visually compelling content using Canva, such as posts, reels, stories, and campaign creatives. Strong proficiency in Canva is essential, as visual communication plays a key role in enhancing outreach, engagement, and the overall effectiveness of the Consortium’s initiatives.
