Its primary areas of work include Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property Rights, Data Governance, Cyber Law, Technology Ethics, Digital Regulation, and Administrative Justice.
Through its flagship publication, The Legalis IP Quarterly (LIPQ), Legalis IP seeks to cultivate a community of researchers and editors dedicated to academic excellence.
About the Opportunity
Legalis IP invites applications for the position of Junior Editor.
The Junior Editor Programme is a long-term editorial engagement designed for law students and young legal professionals who aspire to build expertise in legal editing, academic publishing, and scholarly research. Selected candidates will work closely with the Editorial Board to maintain the quality, accuracy, and integrity of Legalis IP’s publications while gaining practical exposure to professional editorial workflows.
Eligibility
Applications are invited from:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
- Recent law graduates.
- Individuals with a keen interest in legal research, legal writing, and academic publishing.
Prior editorial experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Work Profile
Selected Junior Editors will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and editing legal manuscripts for clarity, structure, and coherence.
- Conducting citation verification in accordance with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (22nd Edition).
- Performing formatting and plagiarism checks before publication.
- Assisting the Editorial Board in publication management.
- Coordinating with authors regarding editorial revisions.
- Supporting the publication of journals, blogs, research papers, and policy briefs.
