The Police Inspector, Basaveshwaranagar Police Station
has filed the charge sheet Crime No.239/2011 against the
accused persons alleging commission of offences punishable
under Sections 302, 201, 120B read with Section 34 of IPC.
2. The learned V A.C.J.M. Bengaluru has committed
the matter to this Court through the Committal Order dated
S.C. No. 1482/2011
25.11.2011 passed in C.C. No.25740/2011 against Accused
Nos.1 to 3. Accused Nos.1 to 3 are on bail.
3. The case of the prosecution in gist is that,
Accused No.1 Smt. Shobharani had financial transactions
with the deceased Vijay Kumar and used to frequently borrow
money from him on interest. Owing to disputes relating to
those monetary transactions, the deceased threatened
Accused No.1 that he would inform TV9 about the
prostitution business being run by her, thereby tarnishing
her reputation. Aggrieved by the said threat, Accused No.1
resolved to eliminate the deceased and in furtherance of a
criminal conspiracy, joined hands with A2 and A3 to commit
his murder.
