1. Present petition has been filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya
Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for grant of regular bail to the petitioner
in case bearing FIR No.107 dated 13.7.2024, registered for the offences
punishable under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘NDPS Act’) (Sections 23 and 29 of
NDPS Act added later on) at Police Station City Jalalabad, District
Fazilka.
2. The gravamen of the allegations against the petitioner is that he
is an accused of being involved in an FIR pertaining to NDPS Act
involving 2.600 Kgs. of heroin allegedly recovered from the petitioner
and his co-accused (1 Kg. heroin was recovered from petitioner and co-
accused Balwinder Singh @ Bohra and Ashok Singh @ Goshi on
13.7.2024 while they were riding a motorcycle and 1.600 Kg. of heroin
was recovered from the petitioner on 15.7.2024.
