    The complainant has filed the present complaint under
    Section 200 of Cr.P.C. against the accused for the
    commission of an offense punishable under section 138 of
    Negotiable Instruments Act.

    C.C.No.31411/2021

    “The complainant and accused are known to each
    other through one common friend namely Anil. The
    accused had requested the the complainant for financial
    help of Rs.6,00,000/- during the month of December 2020
    to improve his business. The complainant also agreed and
    paid amount of Rs.6,00,000/- by way of cash. The accused
    has assured to repay the said amount within one year.
    When the complainant has demanded for repayment, the
    accused had issued a cheque bearing No.000032 dated
    16.08.2021 for Rs.6,00,000/- drawn on Kotak Mahindra
    Bank, K.H.Road branch, Bengaluru. On presentation of said
    cheque by the complainant through his banker The
    Bangalore City Co-op Bank, Vijaynagar branch, Bengaluru,
    the said cheque has been returned for the reason “Funds
    Insufficient” on 17.08.2021.
