About the Opportunity
Tezpur University has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Law) on a contractual basis. Eligible candidates with the requisite academic qualifications and teaching/research credentials are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy either of the following:
Option A
Applicants must:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognised Indian or foreign university.
- Have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET.
OR
Be exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement by virtue of holding a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009/2016 (and subsequent amendments), or fulfil the exemption conditions applicable to candidates registered before 11 July 2009.
Option B
Candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the Top 500 in the QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) rankings shall also be eligible.
Desirable Qualification
Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant branch/specialisation of Law will be preferred.
