Ajay Singh has joined Ashok Leyland as president legal. Prior to joining Ashok Leyland, Singh was the group general counsel, company secretary and compliance officer at Sona BLW Precision Forging for the last six years.
Singh comes with over two decades of experience in corporate governance, M&A, private equity, divestment, commercial and project contracts, litigation, IPRs, ethical and regulatory compliance, anti trust/competition law and risk mitigation.
Previously Singh has held senior managerial positions at Sona BLW Precision Forging, Hindustan Construction Company and Lafarge India. Singh has also worked with Jaypee Group in his initial career.
“Mr. Ajay Pratap Singh, has been appointed as the General Counsel w.e.f. April 21, 2026 and accordingly is categorized as SMP under the SEBI Listing Regulations,” Ashok Leyland disclosed in an exchange filing on April 21, 2026.
