About the Opportunity
NLU Delhi invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for engagement at the Justice T. P. S. Chawla Library on a contractual basis for one year.
Positions Available
- Professional Assistant – 1 Post
- Remuneration: ₹30,000/- per month (after applicable tax deduction)
- Semi-Professional Assistant – 3 Posts
- Remuneration: ₹25,000/- per month (after applicable tax deduction)
Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria: For Professional Assistant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognised university.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant library experience.
For Semi-Professional Assistant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognised university.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant library experience.
Nature of Duties
The selected candidates shall assist in acquisition, cataloguing, classification, circulation, technical processing, maintenance of library records, management of electronic and digital resources, database-related work, shelving, stock verification, user assistance, and other duties assigned by the University/Library. Candidates must be willing to perform evening, night, weekend, and holiday duties whenever required.
Important Instructions
- Engagement is purely contractual for one year and does not confer any right for regular appointment or absorption in the University.
- Selection will be through Walk-in Interview by a duly constituted Selection Committee.
- Candidates should bring an updated CV, one recent passport-size photograph, original certificates, and self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, and identity proof.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
