About the Organisation

The International Journal of Socio-Legal Research (IJSLR) is an independent, peer-reviewed academic law journal committed to promoting high-quality legal research and scholarly writing. The journal aims to provide a credible platform for academicians, researchers, legal professionals, and law students to engage with contemporary legal issues and doctrinal developments.

IJSLR follows a double-blind peer review process and adheres to recognised standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. The journal encourages analytical, doctrinal, comparative, and interdisciplinary legal research, with a strong emphasis on independent legal reasoning and clarity of expression. IJSLR is published on a quarterly basis in print format.

About the Call for Papers

The International Journal of Socio-Legal Research (IJSLR) invites original and unpublished manuscripts for its forthcoming issue. The journal seeks scholarly contributions that critically analyse legal principles, statutes, case law, and policy developments across various branches of law.

Submissions must represent the author’s independent intellectual effort and must not be simultaneously submitted to or published in any other journal or platform.

Open Theme (All Areas of Law).

Who can Submit?

Submissions are invited from:

  • Academicians and researchers
  • Legal practitioners and professionals
  • Judges and policy researchers
  • PhD scholars and postgraduate students
  • Undergraduate law students and others interested in the field.

Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of three authors.

Submission Categories

  • Articles: 3,000–5,000 words (including footnotes)
  • Short Notes: 2,000–3,000 words (including footnotes)
  • Book Reviews: 1,000–2,000 words (including footnotes)
  • Case Commentaries: 1,000–3,000 words (including footnotes)

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original and unpublished.
  • Submissions must be in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  • Any uniform method of citation may be followed, provided consistency is maintained throughout the manuscript.
  • The manuscript must be anonymised for double-blind peer review.
  • A separate cover page containing the author’s name, affiliation (if any), and contact details must be submitted.

Fee

  • No submission fee is charged.

Processing Fee (Payable Only Upon Acceptance)

  • Single Author: INR 1,000/-
  • Co-authorship (up to two authors): INR 1,200/-
  • Co-authorship (up to three authors): INR 1,500/-

Printed Copy (Optional)

Authors may obtain a printed copy of the journal by paying INR 850/- per copy, inclusive of printing and dispatch.
