1. Petitioners seek quashing of case FIR No. 21/2024 of PS Mohan
Garden for offence under Section 392/394/411/34 IPC on the ground that the
complainant de facto (respondent no. 2) has compromised the disputes with
the petitioners.
2. Although on 22.01.2026, on submissions of the erstwhile prosecutor it
was recorded that State has no objection if some deterrent order is passed
against the petitioners but the current learned prosecutor submits that
quashing such FIR on the pretext of compromise would be contrary to the
view taken by the Supreme Court in the case State of Madhya Pradesh vs
Laxmi Narayan, Criminal Appeal No.349/2019, [2019 INSC 307] so he
wants to address and oppose this petition. Learned counsel for petitioners
seeks adjournment to examine the legal position in that regard.
