Minority Commission sitting: Five complaints have been resolved,

It was directed to get the license which was delayed by 11 months in 15 days.

The State Minorities Commission settled five complaints in the sitting held in Malappuram district.

Commission member A.  14 complaints were considered in the sitting held at the Collectorate conference hall under the leadership of Saifuddin Haji.

The commission settled the complaint of a resident of Valancherry that even after 11 months of applying for a trade license after completing all the procedures with the local body authorities, the complaint was not received.

The commission directed that the license should be issued within 15 days and granted immediately.

The commission observed that delaying the license for 11 months, which could have been issued within days, was not a proper course of action.

The commission also solved the problem related to the waterlogging of the Malappuram Cheenithode residents.  Convinced that the complaint of waterlogging due to the activities of a private person was justified, the commission directed the officials to take steps to prevent waterlogging.

The commission has instructed the Areokod police to file an FIR today (December 5) and investigate the complaint filed by a native of Iriveti in Areokode that the machinery that was installed for the industry by paying a huge amount of money was of substandard quality and was cheated.

A complaint filed by a resident of Othalur stating that he was facing mental and physical problems and needed the care and protection of his wife was also taken into consideration by the commission.

The Commission has directed that if the complainant’s brother and relatives are inconvenient to protect, contact the District Collector through the Social Justice Officer to implement rehabilitation.

The officials had given a report that 20 years ago, the complainant’s wife had shunned relations with him and was living with the children.

The commission sought a report from the Secretary of Public Administration, Minority Department, Social Justice Department, and PSC Secretary on the complaint filed by the Kerala Muslim Jamaat district committee that the minorities will lose two rotation turn opportunities when the differently-abled reservation is implemented.

The commission said that further action would be taken after receiving the report.
