We are pleased to inform you that the CLUD–SCL Certificate Course on Construction Contracts and Disputes is scheduled to be held on 9th-10th May 2026 at National Law University Delhi. The course has been designed to introduce participants to the legal and procedural framework governing construction projects. This course will cover construction contracts, risk allocation, international standard forms such as FIDIC and NEC, claims management, delay analysis, and the full spectrum of dispute resolution mechanisms including arbitration, mediation, and adjudication.
The programme features eminent speakers from across the profession, including Senior Advocates, Partners at leading law firms (Khaitan & Co. and DSK Legal), and senior professionals from organisations such as GE Vernova, Larsen & Toubro, and Ircon International Ltd. (a Government of India Undertaking).
Day 2, themed ‘Dispute Strategy, Claims Management and Arbitration’, delves into the practical dimensions of construction disputes. Participants will be introduced to types of construction claims and the critical importance of documentation and record-keeping. A dedicated session on dispute resolution examines arbitration and its key procedural aspects, the role of courts in granting interim relief and enforcement, and alternative mechanisms such as mediation and adjudication boards.
The course is open to students in the 3rd year and above of a 5-year law programme, 2nd and 3rd year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme, and graduates with an interest in infrastructure and construction law.
