The integration, developed in collaboration with NPCI BHIM Services Ltd (NBSL), allows users to access their credit score after providing consent, in line with regulatory requirements. The feature is aimed at linking credit awareness with routine digital payment usage, according to the companies.

With the update, BHIM app users can check and track their credit profile alongside existing financial tools available on the platform. The app currently supports multiple languages and offers features such as expense tracking, split payments, and spending analytics.
According to TransUnion CIBIL, the integration is intended to make credit-related information more accessible within a commonly used payments environment, potentially improving awareness around credit health among users.
NPCI BHIM Services Ltd said the addition of CIBIL data is part of efforts to combine payments and financial information within a single interface, allowing users to make more informed financial decisions during everyday transactions.
The feature is available on BHIM Payments App version 4.0.19 and above.
