Akash Mandal vs State Of Uttarakhand on 6 April, 2026

These appeals arise from one common judgment and order

dated 29.10.2025, passed in Sessions Trial No.05 of 2019, State Vs.

Atul Balmiki & another, by the court of Sessions Judge, Tehri

Garhwal. By it, the appellants have been convicted under Sections

302/34 and 201 of IPC and sentenced accordingly, therefore, these

bail applications are decided together.

2. Deceased Siddharth Bisht left his house on 30th October

2018 at 9.30 in the morning in his Scooty. But he did not return

and a report was lodged. Subsequently dead body was recovered.

According to the prosecution, the appellant did kill him because

appellant Akash Mandal had romantic relations with the sister of

the deceased, to which the deceased was objecting to, hence,

appellant Akash with the help of appellant Atul Balmiki eliminated

the deceased Siddharth Bisht.
