    3. Present criminal appeal is filed by the
    appellant against the judgment and order dated
    20.03.2026 passed by Special Judge, Anti
    Corruption (CBI) Dehradun in CBI Case No.02 of
    2005 under Section 120-B, 420, 467, 468 and 471
    of IPC and Section 13(2) read with Section
    13(1)(d)
    of the Prevention of Corruption Act,
    1988 arising out of the FIR No.RC0072003A0013
    (Firstly, Case Crime No.194 of 2002), Police
    Station Ranipur, Haridwar.

    4. The matter is listed for disposal of bail
    application.

    5. Learned counsel for the applicant submits
    that applicant is at the verge of retirement as he is
    59 years old. He submits that applicant was on
    bail during trial and he has not defaulted the
    condition of bail.

    6. Learned counsel for the respondent orally
    opposed the bail application.

    7. Summon the lower court record.

    8. Learned State counsel prays for and is
    granted two weeks time to file the counter
    affidavit.

    9. Registry is directed to prepare the paper
    book and supply the same to the concerned
    parties, as per Rules.

    10. Having considered the fact that applicant is
    a senior citizen and at the verge of retirement, he
    is entitled to be released on bail.

    11. Accordingly, bail application is allowed.
    Let the applicant-Deepak Kumar Verma be
    released on bail on executing a personal bond and
    two reliable sureties of the like amount to the
    satisfaction of court concerned during the
    pendency of this appeal.

    12. List this criminal appeal on 08.06.2026.
