Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, invites original manuscripts in the form of articles, essays, notes and comments on any topic of contemporary relevance in the field of law for publication in the University’s flagship RMLNLU Journal.

Submission Guidelines

Formatting Style

  • Submissions are to be made in the English language only.
  • Text of the manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point Font size and 1.15 line spacing.
  • Headings should be in Capital letters with centre line spacing.
  • The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, 10-point Font size and single line spacing.

Word Limit

  • Abstract should be within 350-500 words in italics Times New Roman, 10-point Font size and 1.15 line spacing along with 05 keywords.
  • The total word limit for the submissions, including footnotes:
    • *For articles 3000-5000 words
    • **For notes and comments 2000-3000 words.

Citation Referencing Style

  • The citations should be in the ‘Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation’, 21st edition.
  • Citations should be referred to in footnote style.

Similarity Index

  • The similarity percentage of the manuscript should be within 10% as per The UGC Academic Integrity Regulations 2018.
  • The AI content percentage should also be within 10%.
  • The Generative AI content is not permissible.

Who may Contribute?

  • Teachers, Academicians, Senior Lawyers, and Jurists may contribute papers to RMLNLUJ.
  • The authors from the ‘ADVOCATE/Lawyer’ category must mention their affiliation with the court where they are in practice, with their BAR Registration Number.
  • The single authorship will be given preference. However, Coauthorship is allowed for a maximum of 2 authors, limited to a single research article.
  • Co-authorship is not allowed for Case-Comments, Notes and Comments, Book Reviews, etc.
  • Papers submitted by students are not accepted at RMLNLUJ.
  • Authors/co-authors who have not published in RMLNLUJ 2024 & 2025 may be given preference for publication.
