    The matter concerns the issue of Standard Table of Rents in the
    Shillong Cantonment, which have been earlier subject to litigation, and as

    submitted, is now pending adjudication before the Hon’ble Supreme Court
    in a similar matter. Learned counsel has produced an order dated 16-02-
    2026, passed in SLP (Civil) Diary No(s). 57625/2025, wherein a similarly
    situated petitioner has been given protection with regard to eviction.

    Mr. S.P.Mahanta, learned Sr. counsel for the respondents No. 4 & 5,
    prays that he may be allowed one week’s time to obtain instructions. Prayer
    is allowed.
