These judgment arises out of claim petition filed
by the claimant against respondents under
Section 166 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
(hereinafter referred as “Act”) praying to award
compensation in respect of the injuries sustained
by him in the Road Traffic Accident occurred on
12.12.2020.
2. The case of the claimant in nutshell is
that:
On 12.12.2020 between 12.30pm, the
petitioner was riding a Scooter bearing Reg.No.KA-05-
LA-0162 on the extreme left side of the Road, on

Station, Bengaluru, slowly and cautiously observing
all the traffic rules and regulations. At that time, a
Lorry bearing Reg.No.TN-37-CF-4134 came from
behind at a very high speed and in a rash and
negligent manner, endangering human lilfe and
dashed against petitioner’s scooter, thereby caused
the accident. Due to impact, petitioner sustained
grievous injuries.
