About ICFAI Law School

The ICFAI Law School, IFHE, Hyderabad, is an integral part of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, a deemed-to-be University. Its law programs are recognized by the Bar Council of India.

The school offers five-year integrated BBA LL.B. (Hons.), BA LL.B. (Hons.), and BAJ LL.B. (Hons.) programmes, LL.M. programmes in ADR, Corporate and Commercial Laws, Criminal Law, and Tax Laws, Ph.D. programmes (full-time and part-time), and certificate courses in various contemporary legal subjects.

About the Centre for Gender Studies

The Centre for Gender Studies aims to foster research and academic discussions on gender stereotypes and discrimination. It is committed to raising awareness and improving access to justice in the context of gender-related issues.

The Centre seeks to engage with faculty and students to create a gender-aware community on campus and beyond. It organizes academic, technical, medical, cultural, and social events to empower vulnerable groups and promote gender equality.

It also undertakes research projects and collaborates with national and international organizations and researchers working in the field of gender studies and allied areas.

The conference aims to bring together academics, legal professionals, activists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss and shape the future of gender and human rights law.

It seeks to critically analyse existing legal frameworks, identify gaps, and propose strategies for more effective implementation. The conference will also address emerging issues such as technology, climate change, and migration, and their impact on vulnerable populations.

The conference will examine the intersections between gender and human rights law, highlighting legal developments, successful strategies, and advocacy initiatives from different jurisdictions.

Call for Papers

The conference invites original full-length research and scholarly papers documenting substantial research work.

Papers may be submitted in any substantive area relating to gender and human rights, including but not limited to the conference themes. Contributions from allied areas of gender studies, law, and human rights are also encouraged.

Submission Guidelines

• Students, research scholars, academicians, professionals, and legal practitioners may participate.
• Abstracts must be 300–500 words and include keywords, along with the author’s name, designation, and contact details.
• Full papers should be 3,000–5,000 words (excluding footnotes).
• Formatting for abstracts and full papers:
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
• Footnotes:
  • Bluebook 20th Edition
  • Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 10
  • Single spacing
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
• Full papers must be accompanied by a plagiarism report showing less than 10% plagiarism.
• Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
• Submit manuscripts via email to genderstudies@ifheindia.org.
• Selected papers will be published in an edited book with an ISBN
