About the Opportunity
The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is inviting applications for the post of Principal Researcher (Insolvency and Bankruptcy) in its Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy on a contractual basis. The selected candidate will lead research initiatives, contribute to policy development, design academic programmes, and undertake capacity-building activities in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy.

Salary
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹1.50 lakh per month. No additional allowances or benefits will be admissible.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess:
- A consistently good academic record with a Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, PGIP/LL.M. (Insolvency), or another relevant/allied discipline.
- Published research work in the relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching, research, industry, or professional experience.
OR
Candidates from industry/profession must have:
- A consistently good academic record with a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- An established professional reputation with significant contributions to the field.
- At least 10 years of relevant industry/professional experience.
Desirable Qualification:
Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
Age Limit:
Below 65 years as on the closing date of applications (relaxable for exceptional candidates).
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative research on insolvency and bankruptcy laws.
- Undertaking policy analysis, comparative studies, and stakeholder consultations.
- Preparing research reports, case briefs, policy papers, and presentations.
- Tracking legislative and regulatory developments in insolvency frameworks.
- Designing and delivering academic courses, capacity-building programmes, and training initiatives.
- Collaborating with legal, financial, and policy professionals on interdisciplinary projects.
- Publishing research studies and promoting best practices in insolvency and bankruptcy.
- Supporting the Institute’s research, policy, and academic objectives.
Mode of Engagement
Contractual (initially up to 5 years, extendable on a year-to-year basis subject to satisfactory performance).
