of respondent no. 2. The petitioner filed a Mat. (Divorce) Suit No. 35 of 2021
before the Ld. Family Court, Imphal East, Manipur on the ground of dissolution
of marriage dated 08.02.2017 due to cruelty and desertion. During the pendency
of the divorce petition, the respondent no. 1 (wife) filed a Cril. (Maintenance)

application being Cril. Misc. Case No. 4 of 2025 praying for enhancing the interim
maintenance to a sum of Rs. 50,000/-. In that application, the respondents have
filed an objection that the petitioner salary is Rs. 1,10,564/- in the month of
November, 2025. It was also stated that no reason is given for increasing the
quantum of the interim compensation and the documents filed by the petitioner
for ailment and other illness for the respondents are not believable. However, by
the impugned order dated 12.06.2026, the Ld. Family Court, Imphal East

has failed to appreciate the salary of the petitioner and it is wrongly assumed
the salary as more than Rs. 2,50,000/- as asserted in the application.

[3] The learned sr. counsel for the petitioner says that this figure is
not supported and the petitioner has already filed his salary slip showing the
same amount of Rs.1,10,564/- per month. The petitioner has also other family

requiring special medical care. In the circumstances, the impugned order is
stayed subject to the payment of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) only
per month to the respondents during the pendency of the present petition and
