About MNLU

Recognizing the importance of quality legal education and the need for well-trained law graduates to serve the Bar, the Bench, and various professions, the State of Maharashtra took a significant step by establishing three National Law Universities at Mumbai, Nagpur, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Each of these universities was established as an independent and autonomous institution under the Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014.

About the Competition

2nd MNLU-CS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2026, organized by the Moot Court Association (MCA) and Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) of Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLU-CS) in association with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) & Phoenix Legal is a stepping stone for the University to enter into building legal scholarship and advocacy in the most significant field of competition law.

This Competition aims to encourage participants to discuss and debate intricate antitrust matters that are both contemporary and jurisprudentially evolving. Although relatively young, India’s competition law framework has rapidly grown in significance, with the adjudicatory and advocacy roles of the CCI affecting the business environment and consumer welfare.

Against this backdrop, this competition seeks to offer a platform for law students across the country to develop high-level research work, effective advocacy skills, and to enhance the academic debate on antitrust law.
