Mumbai: Western Railway (WR) cancelled 17 services on Thursday and Friday after one of its rakes was withdrawn due to a technical failure. With no replacement or spare rake available, commuters faced severe overcrowding and delays, adding to their daily travel woes.
WR operates 109 AC local services on weekdays and 65 on weekends, catering to approximately 1.25 lakh passengers daily out of its total ridership of 31 lakh.
