Water supply in Mumbai's Bandra West hit due to pipeline leak

MUMBAI: Water supply to parts of Bandra West was affected after a leakage was detected at Lucky Junction on Swami Vivekananda Road around 2am in one of the two water mains supplying the Pali water reservoir, specifically in a main pipeline with a diameter of 600 millimetres.

Efforts to stop the water leak are being undertaken on a war footing.
“Due to the pipeline leak, the water supply in the H West ward has been affected. Water supply in some areas will remain shut off, and it will be restored once repair work is completed. However, in some areas, water is being supplied at low pressure through the Veravali reservoir,” said BMC in a statement, adding that during this period, citizens are urged by the municipal administration to use water sparingly.
