Gandhinagar: Vikrant Pandey, who had been serving as the director in the inter-state council secretariat, ministry of home affairs, Delhi, since 2019 has been appointed the resident commissioner of Gujarat govt in New Delhi.
He was relieved by the Union govt a fortnight ago so he could rejoin the state govt service. On Wednesday, through a government notification, the state govt appointed Pandey to the post while relieving Arti Kanwar, secretary, finance department (economic affairs), from additional charge. Pandey, owing to his extensive experience working in the inter-state council, will possess firsthand expertise in coordinating with the central govt.
Meanwhile, Sweta Shrimali, deputy inspector general of police (prison), Ahmedabad, has been relieved by the state govt and sent on central deputation. She will take up her new role as the deputy inspector general, intelligence bureau. Shrimali has served in various capacities in the state govt.
