Ahmedabad: Senior Congress leader Narpatsinh Chavda, who earlier served as vice president of the state unit of the party, died in Ahmedabad on Sunday. He was 90. Congress leaders condoled the death of Chavda.
Originally from Danta in Banaskantha district, Chavda was involved with a number of educational and social institutions, a party statement said. He was earlier the state president of Janata Dal Gujarat, after which he joined the Congress and was later appointed vice president of the state unit. GPCC president Shaktisinh Gohil and others condoled the death of the veteran leader.
