Tiruchendur is the holy abode of Arulmigu Subramanya Swamy, a spiritual sea facing landscape that is mystical in more ways than one. The red sandy desert of Therikadu, the confluence of Thamirabharani at Punnakayal, the vast spread of water at Perur, Kadamba kulam, Avudayarkulam and others make this terrain a paradise. Amidst these large tracts of land draining towards the Bay of Bengal, E.F.I in association with the Government of Tamilnadu is developing a 25 acres forest patch aptly titled Valli Vanam.
வள்ளி வனம்: 25 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில், மார்ச் 3, 2026 நிலவரப்படி 1000 மரக்கன்றுகள் நடப்பட்டுள்ளன, அக்டோபர் 2026க்குள் 10,000 மரக்கன்றுகள் நடப்படும். நீர் ஆதாரத்திற்காக இரண்டு குளங்கள், வேலி அமைத்து ஆக்கிரமிப்பு தாவரங்களை அகற்றுதல், மரக்கன்றுகளின் வளர்ச்சியை ஆதரிக்க நிலம் தயாரித்தல், சொட்டு நீர் பாசனத்துடன் கூடிய குழாய் இணைப்புகள்.

Valli Vanam: 25 acres, 1000 saplings planted as on 3rd March 2026, 10,000 to be planted by October 2026. Two ponds for water source, fencing and deweeding to remove invasive vegetation, land preparation to support the growth of saplings, plumbing lines with drip irrigation.
