“Salute and gratitude to the #PulwamaAttack bravehearts. We will always be indebted to the armed forces.”-“THE PULAWAMA ATTACKS “

February 14, 2019, the nation was celebrating Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to love and romance. However, terrorists had other plans. A suicide bomber slammed into the convoy army personnel, killing forty CRPF jawans. Pakistani terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad was behind the attacks.

Prime Minister Modi was saddened and angered by the incident, which eventually led him to follow up the attack with his famous surgical strike.

Paying tribute to the bravehearts, the prime Minister tweeted: “Remembering our valorous heroes who we lost on this day in Pulwama. We will never forget their supreme sacrifice. Their courage motivates us to build a strong and developed India.”

An article published on the Hindustan Times mentions:

“India avenged the Pulwama terror attack by carrying out airstrikes on Jaba Top in Balakot, destroying Jaish’s terror training camps. Although the exact number of terrorists killed in the airstrikes is not known, more than 300 religious radicals were spotted at the training camp a day before the strikes based on high-resolution images taken there.”

“Even after four years, Masood Azhar continues to be free under protection by the Pakistani deep state. Last year, the Centre had designated his brother Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir alias Ammar Alvi as an individual terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Alvi is a senior Jaish leader and was involved in the Pulwama terror attack,” the article further stated.

While Pakistan denied having any hands in the attack, the intelligence agencies of India proved otherwise.

An article published Wion mentions the following:

“It added, ‘India condemns Pulwama terror attack; heinous, despicable act perpetrated by Pak-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. We demand Pakistan should stop supporting terrorists and terror groups operating from its territory and dismantle terror infrastructure.’ However, Pakistan has since denied these claims. Subsequently, political parties in India unanimously passed a resolution to support the security forces and the government.”

“Additionally, Pakistan claimed to have taken two IAF pilots and later changed its statement to say only one IAF pilot was in custody which was later confirmed by the MEA. The next day, the now-former PM Imran Khan announced that he would release the captured IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman on March 1. The MIG-21 fighter jet pilot was shot down by the PAF’s F-16 and landed in Pakistani territory, as per reports

he was detained and interrogated. The IAF commander was later conferred with India’s third-highest wartime gallantry medal the Vir Chakra,” the article further stated.
