The NUJS Moot Court Society (‘MCS’) of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (‘NUJS’ / ‘the University’) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 18th Edition of the NUJS-HSF Kramer National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition 2026, held at the NUJS Campus, from March 13th, 2026 to March 15th, 2026.
This flagship competition, a long-standing collaboration between the University and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, continues to reflect a shared institutional commitment towards advancing excellence in corporate law education in India, and prides on having established itself as one of the most anticipated and highly regarded national moot court competitions in the country.
As has been the case over the past seventeen years, this year too, the competition saw some of the brightest young legal talents from across the country vying for the coveted trophy, showcasing stellar advocacy skills and domain knowledge. While each of the 20 teams who had qualified for the oral rounds brought their very own set of strengths to the competition, – we convey our warmest congratulations to Kanupriya Sharma, Yashika & Siddhi Jain representing Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala who were adjudged Winners; Ashna Vashist, Tanishi Ahuja, & Pari Gupta representing National Law University, Jodhpur who came in as close Runners-Up; and Kamal Raj Nambiar representing NALSAR who was awarded Best Oralist. Our congratulations go out to Ashutosh Pattnaik, Vignesh Kumar Sharma, & Sachin Dubey representing National Law University, Odisha as well for having distinguished themselves with the Best Written Submission Award (Appellants), and to Vansh Ahlawat, Arjun Singh, & Tanushika Verma representing Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, for having been awarded the Best Written Submission Award (Respondents).
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude our esteemed partner M/s. Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and our distinguished panels of judges, whose wealth of expertise, astute discernment and wise words of advice helped take our participants’ performances to the next octave of excellence.
And last, but by no means the least, we reserve our heartfelt thanks to our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. O.V. Nandimath for his leadership, as well as for the motivation, guidance and advice he generously shared with us all, to our Registrar, Mr. Raja Chakraborty and the entire administrative team & support personnel for their unstinted support all through, to our Dean (Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Anirban Mazumder, to our Faculty Advisor, Dr. Paramita DasGupta, and to each and every one of our student volunteers for rallying together in the true spirit of NUJS, and helping us put forth yet another memorable mooting experience!
