Mumbai: Several engineering students staged a protest on the Kalina campus of Mumbai University and blocked the Vice-Chancellor’s car, demanding an explanation for the delay in granting special opportunities under the ‘carry on’ (ATKT) scheme to over 5,000 students in the current academic year. These students are unable to enrol in the fifth or seventh semester if they failed in the first or second year. A university spokesperson said that their demands will be placed before the authority concerned before making a decision.
