After tying the knot in a traditional ceremony on December 4, Naga Chaitanya and wife Sobhita Dhulipala switched things up a bit and tapped into their glamorous side as wedding celebrations continued with a glitzy cocktail party.
Designer Tarun Tahiliani gave fans a sneak peek into the celebrations by sharing a handful of photos of the blushing bride, looking like a million bucks in her stunning sequin ensemble. While Sobhita stuck to sarees for her traditional pre-wedding ceremonies, she tapped into her fashionable side to wear a daring retro-inspired golden gown.
Sobhita chose a signature sculpted draped gown for the occasion, paired with statement jewellery and a designer bag. She showed off the statement jewellery with her plunging neckline and her hair tied in an elegant up-do. She also showed off the risque gown by giving fans a good look at the cut-out back.
The look for the evening was topped off with the bride’s intricate mehendi design. According to reports, Sobhita drew inspiration from the Madurai Meenakshi Temple, and the motifs depicting Utsava Murthi and the Padhakkam worn by Goddess Meenakshi. The unique design was a homage to cultural and spiritual symbolism, blending art and devotion.
The couple also shared their first wedding photos on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt caption that read, “Am I dancing for Mangalyam or for the sake of our life? Kante Bhadnami Subhage Tvam Saradam Satam.”
The photos saw the couple looking lost in love as they participated in the wedding celebrations. The bride also shared some of her stunning solo shots from the big day that saw her posing in her gorgeous golden saree and bridal gear.
