This is an appeal against the impugned judgment and order of
sentence dated 30.01.2025 passed by the Court of the learned Sessions Judge,
East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat in Sessions Case No. 60 of 2021,
wherein, he was directed to undergo imprisonment for life with fine of ₹
5000/- (Rupees five thousand) only for an offence punishable under Section
302 IPC.
Mr. R. Gurung, learned GA has entered appearance on behalf of
the State respondent, as such, no formal notice is required to be issued upon
the said respondent.
On consideration of the submission made, and on perusal of the
memo of appeal, we are inclined to admit this appeal, the same is hereby
admitted.
