Ahmedabad: Director of Gujarat’s Anti-Corruption Bureau, and DGP, Dr Shamsher Singh, has been deputed to the Centre and will serve as additional director general, Border Security Force.
The ministry of home affairs approved the appointment of Singh, IPS (Gujarat cadre, 1991), who will serve at Level-15 of the pay matrix until his superannuation on March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, a communique reads. In an official communication to the chief secretary of Gujarat, the ministry has requested that Singh be relieved immediately.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr Shamsher Singh said on X, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Sir and Hon’ble Union Home Minister Sir for entrusting me with the responsibility to serve in the world’s largest border security force, @BSF_India. It is my honour to serve Bharat (sic).” tnn
