About Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy
The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy (“Vidhi”) is an independent think tank doing legal research to make better laws and improve governance for the public good. Vidhi is committed to producing legal research of the highest standard with the aim of informing public debate and contributing to improved governance. Vidhi works with Ministries of the Government of India and State Governments, as well as other public institutions, providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making. Vidhi also conducts and freely disseminates independent research in areas of legal reform which it believes is critical to India’s future.
About the Job
Vidhi is inviting applications for the position of Senior Resident Fellow to join its Corporate Law and Financial Regulation Team.
The selected candidate will work as an integral part of the team and will be responsible for independently leading projects.
Eligibility
Essential
- Undergraduate degree in law.
- At least 4 years of demonstrable work experience in the areas including Corporate Laws, Securities Laws, Insolvency Laws or Insurance Laws (An LLM will be considered as one year of work experience).
- Ability to handle matters independently.
- Excellent presentation skills, and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Desirable
- Postgraduate degree in Corporate and Commercial Laws.
Responsibilities
- Undertaking high-quality legal research and analysis
- Legislative drafting
- Leading projects independently
- Conducting stakeholder consultations
- Leading external meetings and making presentations
- Contributing to both engaged and original research projects
Location and Remuneration
- This is a full-time position based out of New Delhi.
- Remuneration will be competitive, in line with experience and existing structure at Vidhi.
