This claim petition is filed by the petitioner under
Section 166 of Indian Motor Vehicles Act, seeking
compensation for the injuries sustained by him in a
road traffic accident.
2. The case of the petitioner is as follows:-
On 14.04.2023 at about 01-30 p.m. the petitioner
was proceeding as a passenger in a bus bearing reg no.
KA-06-AB-6345 towards Bengaluru. When the bus
reached near Herehalli Village, on Tumkur – Bengaluru
main road, at that time, the driver of said bus drove the
same in a rash and negligent manner and lost control
over the bus and went opposite side of the road and
dashed to one Innova car, result of which the petitioner
sustained grievous injuries. Immediately, the petitioner
was shifted to Government Hospital, Tumkur, wherein
admitted as an inpatient from 14.04.2023 to
15.04.2023 and thereafter he was shifted to Dharan
Hospital, Seelanaichanpatty, Salem. So far, the
petitioner has spent Rs.1,50,000/- towards medical
treatment, conveyance, attendant charges,
transportation charges.
