Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been denied bail for the third time as the federal judge has denied his request for a $50 million bail package.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diddy will remain in prison as he awaits trial. Reportedly the district judge Arun Subramanian ruled on November 27, Wednesday that Diddy’s release will not assure the community’s safety.

According to the reports, the judge referred to Diddy on the alleged use of firearms, kidnapping, violence, and arson, and also noted evidence of attempts to hide communications with people whom he was barred from contacting. The court reportedly noted that Diddy had violated the prison rules for communication, by allegedly paying other inmates to use their phone access codes and also allegedly instructed his lawyers and family to use three-way calls to bypass the monitoring. These doings are considered as strong evidence that Diddy cannot be trusted to follow release conditions if he is granted bail.
Also, Diddy was denied bail twice by two other judges as there were concerns regarding him tampering with the witnesses. The ruling reportedly states, “There is evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering.” Sources say that Wednesday’s court highlighted the incidents that were presented by the government, including the video of Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at the Los Angeles hotel. The video was from the year 2016.
Reportedly the text messages exchanged between Diddy and Ventura from June to August could not be recovered and regarding this, the court has pointed out the American rapper’s history of deleting messages with Ventura.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
