Before we try to understand the hatred, let us explore why Sanatan Dharma cannot be destroyed. The fact of the matter is that even if all the followers of Sanatan Dharma are executed, the Dharmic religion will not go extinct! Yes, you heard that right!
Sanatan Dharma as a way of life has existed for eons, not as a religion but as eternal truth. What is eternal cannot be eradicated. The followers of Dharma cannot be bound by a particular religion or dogma. Why will it exist even if the followers were “eradicated”?
Sanatan is based on the philosophy of self-realization: the oneness between the self and the absolute reality. It propounds the nondual principle of the nature of reality. According to the Vedanta philosophy, the Ultimate Reality (Brahman) is not different from individual souls (Atman). Come to think of it, the Sanatan philosophy has deep implications. Even if someone were to eradicate Sanatan followers along with the entire humanity, Sanatan would exist because the Ultimate Reality or Absolute Consciousness cannot be destroyed.
Now let us try to understand the hatred of politicians towards Sanatan. Truth be spoken, politicians who wish to see Sanatan eradicated from the face of the earth are obviously working with political ambition in mind without considering the deep implications they might have. Various internal forces, such as Stalin, and foreign forces are working in unison to justify the redundant nature of the eternal Dharmic religion.
Furthermore, Sanatan is being seen as a force the BJP is using, which is why members of the opposition are going all guns blazing to belittle the ruling party. While there are more civilized ways of countering the ruling party, the opposition has chosen an ugly path of putting down the good work done by the BJP.
With the nation going to polls next year, political parties are choosing hate speech and degrading religion to win voters. The backbone of Indic civilization is Sanatan Dharma, which is why it is vital for political parties to understand why the anti-Sanatan narrative may and will backfire.
