About Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy
The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think tank engaged in legal research to improve laws and governance for the public good. Vidhi works closely with Ministries of the Government of India, State Governments, and public institutions, providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making. It also undertakes independent research in key areas of legal reform.
About the Job
Vidhi is inviting applications for the position of Research Fellow for its Disability Inclusion and Access Team.
The role involves undertaking legal research, supporting legislative drafting, and contributing to interdisciplinary projects in the area of disability law and policy.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate degree in law
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in legal research, academia, or litigation (preferably in disability law, human rights, or allied areas)
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Responsibilities
- Undertake high-quality legal research on Indian and international legal and policy frameworks
- Provide research and legislative drafting assistance for ongoing projects
- Conceptualize and execute independent research projects
- Prepare reports, notes, presentations, and other dissemination materials
- Coordinate and participate in stakeholder meetings and consultations
- Prepare briefing materials and follow-up on action items
- Assist in internal research, analysis, and decision-making processes
- Support fundraising efforts through research, concept notes, and grant materials
- Undertake additional tasks to support the team’s work
