Reengus Sikar Expressway Limited faces ₹51.8 cr GST order, Legal News, ET LegalWorld

On Monday, Reengus Sikar Expressway Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of G R Infraprojects Limited received an order from the Office of the Commissioner, Central Goods, and Service Tax – Udaipur for the period of July 2017 to August 2022, according to an exchange filing.

Reengus Sikar Expressway Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary received an order from the Office of the Commissioner, Central Goods, and Service Tax – Udaipur, for payment of GST of ₹ 25,90,56,742/‐ along with interest, and a penalty of ₹ 25,90,56,742/‐.

The matter relates to the alleged non‐payment of GST on annuity payments received from the National Highway Authority of India.

The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appellate authority. “Considering the merits of the case, RSEL intends to file an appeal/writ before the Appellate Authority/ Appropriate Court of Law within the time limit prescribed under the Law,” Reengus Sikar said in their regulatory filing.
