Ranbir Kapoor enjoyed massive box office success with his film ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The team had earlier announced a second part, ‘Animal Park‘, to excite fans. In a recent interview, Ranbir shared that the director intends to develop ‘Animal’ into a trilogy. He also revealed some details about his next project, ‘Brahmastra Part 2‘, alongside his wife, actress Alia Bhatt.
In a conversation with Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir stated that they will start shooting the sequel to ‘Animal’ (Animal Park) by 2027, as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently busy with another film. Kapoor added that Sandeep’s vision for ‘Animal’ was exactly what he executed and that he plans to extend the story over three parts. He confirmed that the second installment is titled ‘Animal Park’ and revealed that discussions about the sequel began on the sets of the first film itself.

While discussing his role in Animal Park, Ranbir shared, “It’s very exciting because now I get to play two characters, the antagonist and the protagonist.” Elaborating further, the actor explained that the antagonist undergoes plastic surgery in the first part, transforming to resemble the protagonist. This intriguing twist sets the stage for the second installment.
The ‘Tamasha’ actor also shared updates about ‘Brahmastra Part 2’. He revealed that the film, titled ‘Dev’, is currently in the writing stage. The first part, ‘Shiva’, was a groundbreaking project, and Ranbir expressed his excitement about the sequel’s cast, which remains a closely guarded secret.
Ranbir praised the film’s director and close friend, Ayan Mukerji, calling ‘Brahmastra’ one of the pioneering films of its kind in Indian cinema. He believes the franchise holds immense potential for expansion in future installments, as it continues to explore innovative ideas. When asked if Alia Bhatt would be part of the second installment, Ranbir enthusiastically confirmed, “Of course.”
Meanwhile, Ranbir is busy working on another highly anticipated project, ‘Ramayana Part 1‘, alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.
