Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ hit theaters on December 5, and the Hindi version of the movie performed better than the original Telugu version. Now, actor Rajesh Khattar, who dubbed for Fahadh Faasil in Hindi, has called the success a result of their ‘teamwork.’
Rajesh discussed his role in the success of ‘Pushpa 2’s Hindi version, emphasising that it was a “teamwork” effort. While acknowledging Fahadh’s significant acting contribution, Khattar highlighted his own role in facilitating the film’s reach by dubbing it in Hindi. He expressed that Fahadh’s work being appreciated indirectly points to his own contribution to the film’s success.

He emphasised the importance of building upon the work of artists, ensuring that their creations are enhanced or, at the very least, properly showcased to the audience. He also mentioned receiving data indicating that the Hindi version of ‘Pushpa 2’ is performing better than its original version.
The ‘Don’ actor addressed the victory, stating, “Yeh to bahut badi jeet hai, Allu Arjun ji ke liye, Sukumar ji ke liye, and the entire team jo unhone create ki hai (It’s a big victory for Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and the entire crew).”
The veteran actor acknowledged that while working on the first part of ‘Pushpa’, they didn’t expect its massive success. However, with the sequel, there were high expectations for its performance. He remarked that the answer to how well it would do is now becoming clear.
Khattar, known for dubbing movies like ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’, was asked about his confidence in working on the sequel of a film. He explained how Fahadh’s character, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, a Rajasthani, was portrayed using a blend of Haryanvi and Rajasthani in the prequel. Fahadh was not fully familiar with the local language. This mix was intended to make the character more relatable to the Hindi audience.
He discussed how the creative freedom they took in the earlier film was well-received by audiences. When working on ‘Pushpa 2’, he felt no nervousness but a sense of responsibility, as the audience had already connected with the film. Acknowledging that viewers were eagerly awaiting the sequel, he emphasised their effort to deliver their best and expressed confidence that the film has been well-received by the audience.
Khattar further revealed that he received assistance from one of the chief assistants for his dubbing in the film, who was from Rajasthan and had a good understanding of Telugu. He credited his own flair for language in helping him correct and adjust various nuances, making the dialogue more convincing and better aligned with the character, Bhanwar Singh.
