Railways to run Christmas special between Tuticorin

MADURAI: South Western Railway has announced special trains from Belagavi to Tuticorin and from Tuticorin to SMVT (Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal) in Bengaluru to clear the rush during Christmas.
No 07361 Belagavi – Tuticorin Special will leave Belagavi at 9.55am on Dec 20 and reach Tuticorin at 11am the next day.
No 07362 Tuticorin – SMVT Bengaluru Special will leave Tuticorin at 1pm on Dec 21 and reach SMVT at 3am the next day.
The trains will have one AC two-tier coach, two AC three-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, and two second class coaches (disabled-friendly). The trains will stop at Londa, Dharwad, Hubballi, Haveri, Davangere, Kadur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, and Chikbanavar between Belagavi and SMVT, and at Krishnarapalayam, Bangarpet, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, and Kovilpatti between Tuticorin and SMVT. Reservations for these trains are open.
Southern Western Railway has notified extension of special trains between Hubballi and Rameswaram with an additional stop at Sivaganga.
No 07355 Hubballi – Rameswaram Special, leaving Hubballi at 6.50am on Saturdays, will be extended from January 4 to June 28, 2025 while Rameswaram – Hubballi Special will extended from Jan 5 to June 29. The train from Hubballi will arrive at Sivaganga at 2.43am and leave at 2.45am while the one from Rameswaram will arrive at Sivaganga at 11.17pm and depart at 11.18pm.
