Ahmedabad: The state education department elevated 10 Class-1 officers to the position of deputy director. Through these promotions, permanent secretaries were appointed to serve in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan office.
Following the promotion of these 10 officers, their previous DEO-DPEO positions were allocated to other officials. R R Vyas, who previously served as Vadodara DEO, was promoted as secretary of GSHSEB. Additionally, Gaurang Vyas, previously DPEO of Ahmedabad, was elevated as deputy director in the Office of the Director of Primary Education. In the wake of Gaurang Vyas’s promotion, the administration assigned Krupa Jha, who held the position of district education officer of Ahmedabad Rural, to fill his former role.
