‘Pushpa 2‘ is just making a new record at the box office everyday. The film is on its way to now cross Rs 1000 crore net only in India of all languages combined. But it left everyone shocked with the numbers it generated over the second weekend. ‘Pushpa 2’ released on December 5 and just saw its second weekend. This number came after Allu Arjun‘s arrest which took place on this Friday in the stampede tragedy.
While the numbers in all languages combined are huge, the collection from the Hindi version of the film is much higher than the Telugu version. On Saturday, ‘Pushpa 2’ collected Rs 63.3 crore in all languages and that was a growth of around 73 percent from the Friday numbers. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the movie made Rs 76 crore as a total in all languages, according to Sacnilk. Of this, the Hindi version of the movie itself as made Rs 54 crore. The total Saturday and Sunday number from ‘Pushpa 2’ in Hindi has crossed Rs 100 crores. Thus, ‘Pushpa 2’ now tops the list of the highest grossing second weekend number movie.
According to Box Office India, while ‘Pushpa 2’ stands at the top spot, this number is followed by ‘Stree 2‘ which made around 93 crores on its second weekend. ‘Gadar 2’ stands on the third spot in this list with Rs 89 crore over the second weekend. Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ made around Rs 88 crore while ‘Baahubali 2‘ had collected Rs 78 crore over the second weekend.
The craze for ‘Pushpa 2’ has ceased to stop as the film continues to lure the audiences.
