Patna school timings changed: All schools in Patna up to class 8, which had been closed due to the ongoing cold wave, have reopened today, January 20. As per the latest directive issued by Patna’s District Magistrate Chandra Shekhar Singh, these schools will follow revised timings, operating from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, effective until January 25. The temporary closure, which began on January 5, was prompted by the region’s intense cold conditions, particularly during early mornings and evenings, which were deemed a health risk to students.

Students must note the revised school timings as presented here:
Previous closure due to extreme cold
Earlier this month, the District Magistrate (DM) suspended academic activities for classes up to 8 starting January 5. This decision was made to safeguard students’ health as cold weather and low temperatures, especially during the mornings and evenings, posed a risk to children in the region.
Temperature Trends in Bihar
On Sunday, Bihar recorded a minimum temperature of 6.4°C and a maximum of 26°C at Dehri. In Patna, the minimum temperature was slightly higher at 11.9°C, while the maximum reached 22.1°C. The improved weather conditions have prompted the resumption of physical classes with necessary precautions.
