Paparazzo reveals Diljit Dosanjh hired international bouncers to prevent photographers from taking pictures

Diljit Dosanjh achieved global recognition with his music and returned to India to perform a series of shows for his homegrown fanbase this year. The singer, who began his journey as a pop sensation in Punjab, received exceptional acceptance on a global level. However, it seems some of his local fans, particularly the paparazzi community in India, were left dissatisfied with his team’s conduct.

In a recent interview, well-known paparazzo Varinder Chawla revealed that Diljit used to be incredibly supportive of India’s paparazzi culture. Just a few years ago, the singer would regularly interact with photographers and embrace candid moments. However, Chawla noted that this is no longer the case. Diljit’s team has reportedly enlisted international bouncers, who now prevent photographers from capturing impromptu pictures of the performer.

What do you think about celebrities hiring security to avoid paparazzi?

In a recent conversation with Faridoon Shahryar on his YouTube channel, Varinder shared that about 3-4 years ago, when Diljit first moved to Mumbai from Punjab, he was quite fond of the paparazzi culture. He recalled how the singer would appreciate his posts about him and respond to his messages. However, he mentioned that Diljit’s attitude towards the paparazzi has since changed, and he no longer supports this aspect of fame.
Chawla further added that times have changed and the singer has become an international celebrity. He stated, “Now he has hired a few international bouncers who shine bright lights on the paparazzi so they can’t get the photos and videos. There were two international bouncers with Diljit just a few days ago.”

Varinder highlighted that while paparazzi in the US might be more invasive, in India, they are simply doing their job. He pointed out that photographers at the airport have always treated Diljit respectfully, calling him “paaji” (a term of respect). “When has a photographer ever disturbed Diljit at the airport? Whenever he comes, photographers just say ‘paaji, paaji,’ and now he is shining bright lights into their eyes and not letting them take pictures,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Diljit recently announced that he will not be holding concerts in India until the concert infrastructure is improved. He made this statement during his show in Chandigarh on December 14, with several videos of the announcement circulating on social media.
